Region - Roman Ampitheatre

The ampitheatre was built in the roman city of Forum Claudii Vallensium (called Martigny today). It was erected at the start of the 2nd century AD, a sign of economic prosperity for the roman city. The construction was most likely during the reign of Roman Emperor Trajan. It is a small ampitheatre, that welcomes up to 5'000 people.
